I am Reza, a flamenco guitarist based in Madrid, though many know me as ˝El Persa˝.
I began my musical training in Iran with maestro Kayvan Mirhadi, alongside my brother A.Rahim Jafari, who has been —and continues to be— a key figure throughout this musical journey.
Years later, after discovering the mysterious world of flamenco, I immersed myself in it with maestros Sepehr Ardjomandi and Mansour Rasa. That passion led me to move to Spain to continue my path with the great maestro Ricardo Modrego, disciple of Carlos Ramos and Pepe Motos, thus connecting me to one of the deepest roots of flamenco guitar: Ramón Montoya.
Since then, I have had the fortune to broaden my training with maestros such as Miguel Rivera, El Entri, Agustín Carbonell “El Bola” and El Amir, and to explore other musical languages like jazz and Brazilian music with references such as Fernando de la Rua, David Tavares and Antonio Acero.
I have also completed two courses with Tomatito at the University of Almería, which marked a very enriching stage in my artistic development.
Over the years, I have accompanied singers and dancers on stages all across Spain, both in theaters and in renowned flamenco tablaos.
In addition, I have had the opportunity to tour internationally in France, Portugal, England, and Algeria, among others, sharing flamenco with audiences from different cultures.
Currently, I am the official guitarist of Tablao Flamenco La Quimera, where I continue to share my music with passion, dedication, and respect for this art.
